With, as far as I hear, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) being the main reason drawing people around the world to watch SUPERMAN VS BATMAN this week in cinemas, DC has revealed  today through EW the first photo of her, from her standalone WONDER WOMAN movie with her Amazonians!

WARRIOR MOTHER & AUNTS

Straight from the island of Themyscira, a hidden isle where Amazon women of Greek myth have thrived for centuries living in harmony and free to self govern away from the gaze of man,  you can see her mother, Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), and her two warrior aunts - General Antiope (Robin Wright) and her lieutenant, Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli). This trio of immortals is responsible for both raising and training Diana, the only child born on the mythical isle, but they don’t always agree. Hippolyta, a revolutionary leader, longs to shelter her beloved daughter from the outside world, but Antiope, the Amazon responsible for Diana’s training, wants to prepare her.

WARRIOR IN HIGH HEELS

The movie, which is out in theatres June 2017, and will feature, as you can see in the photos, WONDER WOMAN wearing high heels, also has Chris Pine in the lead role of Colonel Steve Trevor!Director Patty Jenkins said she wanted for WONDER WOMAN to look strong and feminine at the same time.

THE FIRST FOOTAGE REVEALED

A thrilling clip has been released today at CW showing the very first and very exciting footage from DC's WONDER WOMAN movie showing Gal Gadot as princess Diana of the Amazonians and also Chris Pine as her love interest Steve Trevor! It also shows WONDER WOMAN in some fight action and the two of them in the First World War days.

JUSTICE LEAGUE PROMO ART
Currently in production, the movie scheduled for summer 2017 will probably have three settings from WONDER WOMAN's homeland of Themyscira, ruled by her mother Hippolyta queen of the Amazons (Connie Nielsen), to the World War One setting with Steve Trevor, and a modern day setting. Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya also star. There are also rumours that Sean Bean might be portraying the lead villain in the movie. Only a day ago first promo art has also been released for JUSTICE LEAGUE movie in which Wonder Woman will appear just a few months after in November together with Superman (Henry Cavill), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg with Green Lantern curiously missing from the photo.

'ALTERED CARBON' 

TO BECOME NETFLIX SERIES

Speaking of things epic, 'Deadline' reports today that Netflix will make a small screen adaptation of ALTERED CARBON sf saga turning it into futuristic cyberpunk TV series with AVATAR's Laeta Kalogridis producing. The story is set in the 25th century when the human mind has been digitized and the soul itself is transferable from one body to the next. Takeshi Kovacs, a former elite interstellar warrior known as an Envoy who has been imprisoned for 500 years, is downloaded into a future he’d tried to stop. If he can solve a single murder in a world where technology has made death nearly obsolete, he’ll get a chance at a new life on Earth.

DC and Warner Bros. have revealed today the first look of Gal Gadot in the WONDER WOMAN movie celebrating the start of the shooting. Although the story is still kept under wraps, a picture of Gal's costar Chris Pine from the sets, which has been deleted in the meantime, reveals that at least part of the movie might be set in World War I! Before she appears in her 2017 standalone movie, WONDER WOMAN will first appear next year in SUPERMAN VS BATMAN. Chris Pine will be her love Captain Steve Trevor (who could also play his own grandfather in WWI), Robin Wright is Claire Underwood, Danny Huston, David Thewlis and Ewen Bremner also starring.

HERCULE POIROT IN 'MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS'
 And here's some lovely Agatha Christie news: 20th Century Fox has hired legendary Kenneth Branagh to both direct and star in the new movie version of MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS! Branagh will not only direct and star as Hercule Poirot, but will also produce with Ridley Scott! As 'Deadline' reports, famous for its labyrinthine plot and unconventional solution, the story first published in 1934 sees detective Poirot stranded on the famous train during a terrible snowstorm in a town in Yugoslavia. When a fellow passenger is murdered, Poirot discovers a great number of other passengers could be the culprit.

NEW 'WAR AND PEACE'

EPIC TV SERIES PHOTO

BBC's sweeping epic series WAR AND PEACE which arrives to the small screens this January starring James Morton, Paul Dano and Lily James has a new photo.  Epic six episodes chronicle events surrounding the French invasion of Russia seen through the eyes of five aristocratic Russian families. Also starring Jim Broadbent, Gillian Anderson, Aneurin Barnard and Brian Cox it will air on Lifetime and History in USA.
