WHAT ARE YOUNG STARS OF 'WAR AND PEACE' EPIC SERIES DOING NEXT? JAMES NORTON, JACK LOWDEN, JESSIE BUCKLEY, PAUL DANO, CALLUM TURNER!

WHAT ARE  'WAR AND PEACE'
YOUNG STARS DOING NEXT?
Now that BBC's epic saga WAR AND PEACE has ended becoming a hit among the audience, let us check out what is all that wonderful cast doing next!

 JAMES NORTON
THE NEW JAMES BOND?
Ensemble member who definitely scored most public attention with his profound and captivating portrayal of courageous and bold Prince Andrei Bolkonsky is James Norton. Not only that all the press is buzzing about him these days but he has now also suddenly become one of the public favourites for new James Bond! But those of us who follow British drama religiously have known and loved Norton for years now. Before the Russian saga, he was also the lead star of other two popular series HAPPY VALLEY and GRANTCHESTER (both of which are still very much alive) and last year we also absolutely adored his work in BBC's LIFE IN SQUARES and LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER! He was also active on film in lovely period movie BELLE a few years ago and in recent NORTHMEN - A VIKING SAGA epic adventure movie. I'm guessing he will be in high demand after his latest role.

  JACK LOWDEN
NEW STAR OF PERIOD SET MOVIES
Almost equally charismatic and delightful, stealing all the scenes in which he appeared with his dashing screen presence, was Jack Lowden who played Count Nikolai Rostov, the impulsive and passionate Hussar who wore that uniform like it was glued onto him. Again, us who follow British drama, remember the stunning young Brit from BBC's moving WW1 drama THE PASSING BELLS from two years ago in which he simply shined and also from last year's WOLF HALL epic series in which he was the famous poet Thomas Wyatt! We shall watch him next in A UNITED KINGDOM movie with Rosamund Pike, Jack Davenport and Tom Felton about Prince of Botswana who caused an international stir when he married a white woman from London in the late 1940s. Another period set movie we shall watch the dear chap in is TOMMY'S HONOUR about the founders of modern golf with Sam Neill and Peter Mullan. He will also join Rachel Weisz, Tom Wilkinson and Timothy Spall in DENIAL, about a professor who sets up a legal battle against an outspoken Holocaust denier.

 JESSIE BUCKLEY
THE FEMALE STAR OF THE SAGA
By all means the most impressive female performance in WAR AND PEACE came from wonderfully talented Irish actress Jessie Buckley who gave riveting, deeply intelligent, profound and memorable portrayal of burdened Princess Mariya Bolkonskaya who in the end finds much deserved happiness with Nikolai Rostov. Channelling a wide range of deep emotions and inner struggle she gave Bolkonskaya life and I can't wait to see the direction Buckley's career takes after this triumph. She is set to appear in another new historical series, Tom Hardy's TABOO  about an adventurer who builds his own shipping empire in the Colonial early 1800s.

  PAUL DANO
THE HEARTFELT HERO
The one who stole the hearts of the viewers with his heartfelt and loveable portrayal of clumsy, but yet truth seeking Count Bezukhov, Paul Dano, probably found the role of his life in WAR AND PEACE!  He will now lead CODES OF CONDUCT new TV series as a young man with a mysterious past who makes his way into New York's high society. Sam Reid, Helena Bonham Carter also star!

  CALLUM TURNER
THE IMPRESSIVE VILLAIN
Playing the manipulative villain Anatole Kuragin in WAR AND PEACE young British actor Callum Turner gave a rather magnetic performance. Doors of Hollywood are opened for him since he has two big projects in his pocket: VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN with James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe and Michael Fassbender's ASSASSIN'S CREED!

 'WAR AND PEACE'
BBC'S MOST AMBITIOUS EPIC TELEVISION SERIES EVER
Are you ready for the highlight of all epic television programmes this winter, the latest small screen adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's glorious novel WAR AND PEACE which will bring sweeping saga of the 19th century heroic imperial Russia to BBC One in six one hour episodes from Sunday January 3rd, produced by the Weinstein Company as BBC's most ambitious drama project to date? Lifetime, A&E Network and History will simultaneously broadcast the miniseries as four two hour episodes later from January 18th for the viewers in the United States of America. It will also air in Australia and many European countries.

SWEEPING 19TH CENTURY SAGA
Based on one of the best, most influential, longest and most popular novels in history which has been sold in almost 40 million copies to date, WAR AND PEACE from famous Russian writing genius Leo Tolstoy the mini series details Napoleon’s bloodthirsty and aggressive attack on Eastern Europe and the impact the war has on five Russian aristocratic families in the 1800s whose personal entanglements threaten to disrupt their privileged world! Tolstoy’s expansive novel is also set against the backdrop of the reign of Tzar Alexander I, the lingering effects of his grandmother Catherine The Great’s rule and the events surrounding Napoleon’s invasion of Russia in 1812.

'WONDER WOMAN'
1ST PHOTO WITH GAL GADOT
DC and Warner Bros. have revealed today the first look of Gal Gadot in the WONDER WOMAN movie celebrating the start of the shooting. Although the story is still kept under wraps, a picture of Gal's costar Chris Pine from the sets, which has been deleted in the meantime, reveals that at least part of the movie might be set in World War I! Before she appears in her 2017 standalone movie, WONDER WOMAN will first appear next year in SUPERMAN VS BATMAN. Chris Pine will be her love Captain Steve Trevor (who could also play his own grandfather in WWI), Robin Wright is Claire Underwood, Danny Huston, David Thewlis and Ewen Bremner also starring.

And here's some lovely Agatha Christie news: 20th Century Fox has hired legendary Kenneth Branagh to both direct and star in the new movie version of MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS! Branagh will not only direct and star as Hercule Poirot, but will also produce with Ridley Scott! As 'Deadline' reports, famous for its labyrinthine plot and unconventional solution, the story first published in 1934 sees detective Poirot stranded on the famous train during a terrible snowstorm in a town in Yugoslavia. 'WARCRAFT: THE BEGINNING' TITLE CHANGE PROMISES AN EPIC FRANCHISE WITH A NEW POSTER! IMPRESSIVE 'WAR & PEACE' BBC EPIC SERIES TRAILER IS HERE! NEW 'STAR TREK' TV SERIES AT CBS IN 2017

'WARCRAF: THE BEGINNING
REVEALS NEW POSTER & PICS
Epic pleasures for you today (with the news coming from CBS that in January 2017 they will launch new STAR TREK TV series!) starting with Universal's announcement that they have slightly changed the title of their latest video game adaptation: WARCRAFT: THE BEGINNING has also gotten a new poster ahead of the trailer release this Friday showing main characters Orgrim (Robert Kazinsky) and Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel) split by the Dragon Sword! Obviously viewed as the first in the franchise of films, it will open in cinemas next summer set in the mystical epic world of Azeroth! Dont forget to tune in Friday for the mindblowing trailer, below is the short teaser of it.

'WAR & PEACE' EPIC TV SERIES
 FIRST TRAILER & NEW POSTER
But probably the biggest epic treat today is the lavish and expensive looking first trailer for BBC historical series WAR AND PEACE along with a new poster (an unpleasantly bizarre one glamorising death instead of focusing on the tragedy of war, obviously since it was made for the US audience)! The trailer looks as impressive as its star studded cast is: James Norton, Jim Broadbent, Gillian Anderson, Jack Lowden, Greta Scacchi, Rebecca Front, Stephen Rea, Aneurin Barnard, Brian Cox, Lily James, Paul Dano are all the members of the huge ensemble cast. Following five aristocratic families the epic six episode series is set in the 1869 French invasion of Mother Russia, and will, something tells me, air in UK probably around Christmas, with Lifetime, History and A&E airing it next year around the world.
