According to 'Deadline' definitely one of our most anticipated future period set adaptations MY COUSIN RACHEL has just added GOT star Iain Glen and Simon Russell Beale to the cast lead by Rachel Weisz, Sam Claflin and Holliday Grainger! NOTTING HILL's Roger Michell is directing.

PERIOD SET DRAMA 
Daphne Du Maurier's dark romance revolves around Philip, a young orphan, who believes his mysterious, beautiful cousin Rachel may have been responsible for the murder of his beloved guardian Ambrose, also a cousin of theirs. As Philip plots his revenge, he finds his feelings complicated as he falls under Rachel’s beguiling spell.

JOINS 'BABY DADDY' SITCOM
Not much in today's television news except an info coming from America's favourite and most watched Wednesday sitcom BABY DADDY which will see TELENOVELA's super dashing star Jose Moreno Brooks guest starring in a number of episodes this season! He will be playing Roger, a handsome, enthusiastic though somewhat awkward paralegal who is the assistant to Riley (Chelsea Kane). Jean Luc Bilodeau, Derek Theler and Tahj Mowry star along with Kane in the FreeForm series which follows a young single father raising his baby daughter with his friends, mother and brother.

In the trailer department, here is something currently playing in cinemas around Europe and Asia, a hilarious French epic oriental comedy parody THE NEW ADVENTURES OF ALADDIN starring Kev Adams as Aladin, Jean Paul Rouve as the grand Vizier and Vanessa Guide as princess Shalia Sofia.  It follows a pair of losers working at department store who plan to rob the place after it closes. When a bunch of kids show up begging for a story, the men launch into an improvised version of Aladdin.

JOSH BOWMAN JOINS 'TIME AFTER TIME' SF SHOW
As EW writes today, one of TV's most popular hunks, Josh Bowman has just joined the new ABC sf show TIME AFTER TIME that I announced only yesterday! While young Freddie Stroma will play the lead role of  H.J. Wells whose time travelling adventures are the focus of the show, Bowman will play Jack the Ripper whom Wells chases through time. He is also John Stevenson, a brilliant and charismatic surgeon who lives a double life as the infamous serial killer.
TONE BELL, BEAU MIRCHOFF IN 'GOOD FORTUNE' SITCOM
Meanwhile, Tone Bell, whom we loved in TRUTH BE TOLD, AWKWARD's  Beau Mirchoff and Diane Guerrero will star in new NBC multi camera sitcom GOOD FORTUNE about June, a hyper structured young woman who, after a fortune teller predicts she’ll die in 3 days, decides she’s finally going to live her life with no regrets. When she doesn’t die but realize how great it felt to take risks, she adopts a new life policy along with a new full time fortune teller. June and her best friends Adam (Bell), Dave (Mirchoff), Bailey (Guerrero) and Metzger plan to always stick together, impending doom or not.

It's been an extremely slow week so far in the movie business, so I will entertain you today with something I've dug out recently: the first photos from two of the upcoming period set movies. Starting with the first poster and some photos from Kate Beckinsale's LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP which is premièring at Sundance this month.

Directed by Whit Stillman, and also starring Chloe Sevigny, Stephen Fry and Xavier Samuel, LOVE & FRIENDSHIP, an adaptation of a Jane Austen short story, revolves around beautiful widow Lady Susan Vernon, who has come to the estate of her in-laws to wait out colourful rumours about her dalliances circulating through polite society. While there, she decides to secure a husband for herself and her rather reluctant debutante daughter, Frederica. Two young men, handsome Reginald DeCourcy and wealthy Sir James Martin, severely complicate her plans.

'TULIP FEVER' PHOTOS

ALICIA VIKANDER & CHRISTOPH WALTZ IN STAR STUDDED MOVIE

Meanwhile, another period set movie we've been announcing for what seems at least five years now TULIP FEVER finally has some photos released revealing lead actors Alicia Vikander and Christoph Waltz, and also prince Harry's ex girlfriend Cressida Bonas. Set in 17th century Amsterdam, the adaptation of Deborah Moggach novel, follows an artist (Dane DeHaan) who falls for a married young woman (Alicia Vikander) when he's commissioned to paint her portrait by her husband (Christoph Waltz). The pair then invest in the risky tulip market in the hope of building a future together. Dame Judi Dench also joins the cast together with Matthew Morrison and Tom Hollander, Jack O’Connell, Holliday Grainger. Dench will play the Abbess of St. Ursula’s, a rescuer of orphan children, and Morrison will play a drunken bohemian artist.

'SING' ANIMATED MUSICAL

Now, here's a delightful project: Matthew McConaughey will lead the voice cast of the animated movie SING set for December 2016 release with more than 85 hit songs in it! He will be as Buster Moon, a dapper koala who runs a once great theatre that has fallen on hard times. Seeing the thing he loves most in his life coming to ruin, Buster connives to restore the theatre’s fortunes by producing the world’s greatest singing competition. Seth MacFarlane will be a crooning, con artist mouse; Tori Kelly a timid teenage elephant suffering from stage fright; Reese Witherspoon the overtaxed mother of a litter of 25 piglets; Taron Egerton a young gorilla from a crime family eager to break out of the family business; and Scarlett Johansson as a punk rock porcupine looking to ditch her arrogant boyfriend and embark on a solo career.

'VICTORIA' EPIC SERIES

In TV news, 'Daily Mail' has published first photos from the lavish sets of ITV's upcoming new historical series VICTORIA showing Jenna Coleman as the British monarch in her royal gown and massive crown and Rufus Sewell as her prime minister Lord Melbourne. The eight episode epic saga will follow VICTORIA's early life from her ascension to the throne at the tender age of 18 through to her courtship and marriage to Prince Albert!

You can also get thrills from the second trailer and a new poster for THE FINEST HOURS action drama out this January with Chris Pine in the lead role. In February of 1952, one of the worst storms to ever hit the East Coast struck New England, damaging an oil tanker off the coast of Cape Cod and literally ripping it in half. On a small lifeboat faced with frigid temperatures and 70-foot high waves, four members of the Coast Guard set out to rescue the more than 30 stranded sailors trapped aboard the rapidly-sinking vessel.
