Jean Luc Bilodeau, Derek Theler and Tahj Mowry star along with Kane in the FreeForm series which follows a young single father raising his baby daughter with his friends, mother and brother.

Meanwhile, British legend Stephen Fry will star in NBC's new sitcom THE GREAT INDOORS in which  Joel McHale plays an adventure reporter who must adapt to the times when he becomes boss to a group of millennials in the digital department of their magazine. Fry will be the charismatic founder of  THE GREAT INDOORS magazine, and a world traveller, explorer and adventure! 

BBC ORDERS 'QUACKS' 

VICTORIAN COMEDY SERIES
Over in UK, BBC has ordered 6 half hour episode period series set in the 1840s titled QUACKS about four young pioneers in the daring and wild days of Victorian medicine!  The comedy takes place at a time when doctors were just as likely to kill their patients as cure them, when they experimented on themselves and each other. It was an era when the O.R. — or operating theatre in British parlance — was full of spectacle and showmanship (and screw-ups). Rory Kinnear will play one of those showmen, an arrogant surgeon; Mathew Baynton is a fledgling psychiatrist; Tom Basden a hedonistic dentist turned anaesthetist and Lydia Leonard a headstrong social campaigner. Rupert Everett will guest star.

Over at CW, Sofia Pernas has joined their historical adventure series TRANSYLVANIA replacing Amrita Acharia as Coriander, an exotic gypsy queen of the matriarchal clan that runs the fleshpots of the Old City, the haunted spot where Vlad the Impaler once killed thousands of their tribe. Set in 1880 TRANSYLVANIA centres on Victoria (Laura Brent), a headstrong young woman in search of her missing father who ventures from NYC to Transylvania where she teams up with a wrongfully disgraced Scotland Yard Detective (Luke Allen-Gale), and together they witness the births of the most famous monsters and villains in history.

CROSS SPECIES MEDICINE  
Fox's light medical series, coming from BONES producers, based on the best selling book by Dr. Barbara Natterson Horowitz and Kathryn Bowers, will follow the unlikely pairing of Dr. Kara Martins (Marsha Thomason), a successful, driven cardiologist as she risks career suicide by teaming with Dr. Lucas Cort (Peter Facinelli), a brilliant, socially challenged veterinarian who relates better to animals than people. They try to put aside their competitive natures to cure the incurable using a unique blend of cross species medicine that’s never been tried before.

Kim Raver will play Dr. Julia Fowler, the chief of medicine at Chicago Hospital, the part originally male in the book. Ben Rappaport will play Dr. Henry Lowe, a cardiology resident. Ambitious and always concerned with doing the right thing for his career, he surprisingly bends hospital rules. 

DISNEY TO ADAPT

'CHRONICLES OF PRYDAIN' 
In the news coming from Disney, beside the info that the work on the FROZEN 2 script is well under way, 'Variety' reports that they have acquired movie rights on CHRONICLES OF PRYDAIN fantasy novels from Lloyd Alexander which, two decades ago, were the basis of their BLACK CAULDRON animated movie. The saga follows young Taran from youth to maturity, an assistant pig keeper who dreams of being a grand hero. Set in the magical land of Prydain, which resembles ancient Wales the story sees him engaged in a series of battles with Annuvin, the Land of Death. Other key characters are the young princess Eilonwy, the bard Fflewddur Fflam and a wild creature named Gurgi.

'ME & MEAN MARGARET'

In other television news, NBC has finally found a young man who will star opposite legendary Stockard Channing in the pilot for their new multi camera sitcom ME AND MEAN MARGARET! Handsome ALLEGIANCE star Gavin Stenhouse will lead  an unlikely buddy comedy that follows Margaret (Channing), a fiercely candid and often offensive legendary actress, and Ben (Stenhouse), the ambitious 27 year-old lawyer forced to babysit her. In today's TV news, another of the series pilots we're looking forward too has found its lead stars. As 'Deadline' reports ABC's historical drama STILL STAR CROSSED will be lead by British actress Lashana Lynch and Wade Briggs, and will also star Zuleikha Robinson as Lady Capulet. Following the death of her parents, she is taken in by her aunt and uncle, Juliet’s parents Lady (Zyleikha Robinson) and Lord Capulet, and forced to work as a servant. She does her best to tolerate her aunt’s cruelty, and focuses on finding a way to free herself of the humiliation. She is eventually ordered to marry Benvolio (Wade Briggs), a Montague.

It follows an unlikely trio (Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett) who travel through time to battle a master criminal (Visnjic) intent on altering the fabric of human history with potentially catastrophic results. Vulnerable, damaged and oddly emotional, Visnjic’s Garcia Flynn is a dangerous man who’s recently stolen a time machine and travelled with his team of soldiers to the hours prior to the Hindenburg’s explosion. Flynn is guided by a strange journal from some other period of time, and while his full plan is still shrouded in mystery, it’s clear that he must be stopped. Don't confuse this one with ABC's TIME AFTER TIME which will have young H.G. Wells chasing Jack the Ripper through time!

Lena Olin (Welcome To Sweden) and gorgeous Tom Brittney (The Syndicate) will play mother and son in this lavish drama series of passion, greed and hope in a Steampunk reality, circa 2016. Set in an alternate history where gas and coal fuel the world, the drama centres on the battle for power between two rival families and a rebellious young woman with a spark of invention that could level both their empires.

Olin will play Hazel Stockton who now controls the powerful Stockton Coal Company using her wealth more altruistically than her arch rivals at Lavelle Gas — but despite her philanthropic outreaches to the city’s poor, she still craves absolute power, and is not above using strong-arm tactics to achieve it. CBS is rounding up cast for their new multi camera sitcom REAL GOOD PEOPLE! Ross Kimball has joined the cast which already has Nick Zano and Lenora Crichlow! It centres on a conservative small-town family forced to reconcile their values when they discover their children’s lives are less than perfect. As 'Deadline' reports, Kimball will play Beau, the eldest son, a good ol’ boy who adores his momma and worships his father, but didn’t inherit their strong moral compass.

TV news for you this Sunday, starting with the cast round up for SyFy's new epic series VAN HELSING! Kelly Overton will lead the 13 episode drama which follows Vanessa Helsing, a descendent of the Van Helsing lineage of warriors who now must lead mankind against a world controlled by vampires in the post-Rising landscape.

Jonathan Scarfe will play Axel, a career Marine with unwavering devotion and loyalty to both duty and his wards, despite years of isolation and endless vampire attacks. Christopher Heyerdahl will play Sam, a survivor of the vampire Rising, who relies on his strength and observational skills to stay alive. David Cubitt is John, another survivor of the vampire Rising, whose actions are fuelled by anger, prejudice, suspicion and fear. Paul Johansson is Dimitri, a vampire turned before the Rising, he is now the patient and calculating leader of the vampires. Tim Guinee will play Ted, a vampire foot soldier who does battle with Vanessa and conceals a tragic past. Production starts tomorrow for Fall airing.

LESSONS IN THE SNOW 

Based on the 1984 cult live-action Canadian film 'La Guerre des Tuques' SNOWTIME! explores the sometimes mercurial relations between friends during childhood. The film follows a group of kids in a small village who set out during winter break to hold a massive snowball fight. 11-year-olds Luke and Sophie find themselves leaders of the opposing sides, with Sophie’s faction defending an elaborate snow fort against Luke’s. Whichever side controls the fort by the end of the break will be declared winner. However, what begins as a fun contest deteriorates into a more bitter conflict teaching the children valuable lessons about friendship, the importance of unity, and the emotional consequences of vicious rivalry.

We've only mentioned him a few days ago and now Dan Stevens is here again! You've probably heard by now that he has been cast to lead the new LEGION series pilot set in Marvel's universe and tied with X MEN! He will play David Haller who has struggled with mental illness since he was a teenager. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real. Aubrey Plaza will play his friend, while Jean Smart will be his therapist. In the comics, David is the son of Professor X.

DOUGRAY SCOTT JOINS

'FEAR THE WALKING DEAD'
In other TV news, Scottish star Dougray Scott has joined the second season of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD series. In the prequel series to WALKING DEAD, he will play a confident man who is still learning to be a leader and regrets but accepts the necessary violence for a new vision! As you know, the series, which follows the early outbreak of zombie virus in Los Angeles, will return with the two part 15 episode second season at AMC from April 11th with the characters boarding a ship to escape the zombies in the final episode of the first season.

'ME & MEAN MARGARET' SITCOM

Over at NBC they've ordered new multicamera sitcom ME & MEAN MARGARET from WILL & GRACE writer Adam Barr. An unlikely buddy comedy follows a fiercely candid and often offensive legendary actress and the ambitious 27-year-old lawyer forced to babysit her.

MATT CZUHRY RETURNS TO 'GILMORE GIRLS'

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed today that Matt Czuchry's Logan  will also return in the farewall season of GILMORE GIRLS which will be produced by Netflix in the form of four TV movies each set in different season. Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop are all returning, while Melissa McCarthy said earlier this week she wasn't invited to return. As you remember Rory rejected Logan's marriage proposal in the series finale.

In today's casting news, one of our favourite television faces, British hunk  DanStevens (who is the Beast in Disney's upcoming BEAUTY AND THE BEAST movie) will star with Rebecca Hall in romantic movie PERMISSION as a couple who decide to sleep with other people for the sake of their relationship. Jason Sudeikis, Gina Gershon and Francois Arnaud are also in the cast.

Meanwhile, the team standing behind Spartan epic 300 lead by Gianni Nunnari (IMMORTALS) will make a futuristic ROBIN HOOD 2058 movie with the story set in a futuristic, dystopian version of London, following a rogue MI5 agent on a mission to avenge injustice.

'BABY DADDY' & 'YOUNG & HUNGRY' RETURN WITH THE NEW SEASONS

Are you ready for the return of our favourite TV sitcoms? ABC Family, which has been renamed into FreeForm this year, is opening their Wednesday evening comedy block again tomorrow with the return of their most beloved comedies BABY DADDY and YOUNG AND HUNGRY! Both sitcoms have ended their previous episodes with love cliffhangers! BABY DADDY is returning for its fifth season and the audience is awaiting to see if Danny (Derek Theler) will finally get Riley (Chelsea Kane) to whom he proposed crashing his mother Bonnie's (Melissa Peterman) wedding. But it turns out she fainted and doesn't remember the proposal! Meanwhile, his brother and Riley's previous fling Ben (Jean Luc Bilodeau) is getting a new love interest in new neighbour to be played by Jonna Walsh! 

STILL YOUNG & HUNGRY  
Returning for the third season, YOUNG AND HUNGRY also has a love triangle with two brothers after Gaby (Emily Osment) who still loves her boss Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) falls for his gorgeous younger brother (Jayson Blair). She will be in a dilemma while on a desert road trip!

An avalanche of TV news today, lead by the main info that Netflix will officially do a final season of GILMORE GIRLS in the form of four 90 minute TV movies (each set in a different season of the year) with almost all of the original cast returning (lead by Lauren Graham, Scott Patterson and Alexis Bledel)!

NEW CW PILOTS

EPIC 'TRAN SYLVANIA'

CW has ordered two high concept TV series pilots. The first one is one I mentioned before TRANSYLVANIA. Set in the 1880, it centres on a headstrong young woman in search of her missing father who ventures from NYC to Transylvania where she teams up with a wrongfully disgraced Scotland Yard Detective, and together they witness the births of the most famous monsters and villains in history. 
SF MARS SERIES
They have also ordered an untitled MARS sf series pilot written by REIGN's Doris Egan, following a team of explorers who arrive on Mars to join the first human colony on the planet, only to discover that their predecessors have vanished. Led by a woman whose husband is among the missing, the colonists are forced to change their mission from exploration and settlement to investigation and survival, while navigating the hostile planet and their own personal demons!

CBS ORDERS 'THE GREAT INDOORS' TV COMEDY PILOT

CBS has meanwhile ordered a pilot for new multi camera sitcom THE GREAT INDOORS about an adventure reporter who must adapt to the times when he becomes the boss to a group of millennials in the digital department of the magazine

SKY 1 ORDERS 'THE LAST DRAGON SLAYER' EPIC TV MOVIE

Meanwhile, across the sea, British Sky 1 will turn Jasper Fforde's epic fantasy novel THE LAST DRAGONSLAYER into a TV movie set in a world where magic exists in a weakened form, and has been replaced with modern technology - for instance magic carpets are used to deliver pizzas. Better than drones. The story focuses on 15-year-old Jennifer Strange, who runs an employment agency for magicians and finds out that the last dragon is being hunted.
